Meet the author
Antoine Lunsford was born and raised in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. As a child, Antoine would always write stories and read biographies to bring the characters in his stories to life. He graduated from Bowie State University with a degree in elementary education in 2010. Mr. Lunsford is currently teaching in the state of Maryland and travels to various schools to read his books to students. He enjoys traveling, watching sports and spending time with family and friends. Antoine is also the CEO/co-founder of the Lunsford-Williams Foundation located in Washington, D.C.
The Lunsford-Williams Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit that performs special projects in needy communities from feeding the homeless to providing backpacks and writing supplies for students with financial needs. $1 of every Little Andy book sale goes into the community to bring hope to those who struggle.
In this first book of the Little Andy series, The Greatest Recess Monitor Ever!!!!, Little Andy is a student and recess monitor at Spriggs Park Academy who patrols the playground to make sure everybody plays safely and correctly. One day, he changes and not for the better. The students no longer listen to him because he's rude and doesn't care about their feelings. Can he figure out how to regain their trust and become the person they once knew?
In book two in the series, Oh no! There's a Bully in Our School!!!, Little Andy meets Kumar, a new student at recess. They quickly become good friends. Suddenly, after a series of events occur, their friendship changes for the worse. Will they do what it takes to become good friends again?
In book three, Little Andy Runs for School President!, Little Andy runs for school president, but when he learns he has overwhelming competition, his friends come to his side. But do they do the right thing? Does Little Andy win the election?
